History:
Nestled on a peninsular parcel of approximately 52 acres along the southern shore of Lake Mahopac, Mahopac Point is a private community of 92 homes in the Hamlet of Mahopac, Town of Carmel, NY. Established in 1923, our community has evolved from summer vacation homes to mostly year round residents and through the years has been part of a diverse history. View more on the subject under Community Links and on this PDF document.
 
Directions and Map:
Mahopac Point is located in the heart of Mahopac, NY near the intersection of Route 6 and Route 6N, roughly ten minutes from Route 684 and the Taconic Parkway. Metro North trains along the Harlem line stop at Croton Falls, which is a ten to fifteen minute drive from Mahopac Point and a seventy minute train ride to or from Grand Central Station in Manhattan.  The Croton Harmon train station is thirty minutes from Mahopac Point with a forty minute express ride to Grand Central Station in Manhattan.
